Artisan Woodsmith

Artisan Woodsmith is a wood working company owned and operated by Tim Reynolds in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. The traditional yet modern logo design concept is used here to represent the fine detailed craftsmanship that Tim uses in his work. The use of the hammer and axe icons add a playful spin to the script and serif typefaces. The logo was designed in black and white for a clean look that is reminiscent of a branding iron.   Looking forward at the Artisan Woodsmith branding scheme, we created a letterpress cotton business card; double sided to showcase the logo as well as fine detailed contact information. The playful use of underscores, spacing and sizing of numbers are to give it the handmade, artisan feel. Life in the woodworking business is not complete with out your own branding iron, to mark your work. Many of Tim’s clients requested that he sign his work, thus the branded logo.
